FGASA/THETA assessments

Bushveld Training Adventures’ students qualify for special FGASA examination sittings at the end of the FGASA Level I & II courses and the Trails Guide Course. The following FGASA and THETA practical assessments are done:

  • FGASA Level I – NQF2
  • FGASA Level II – NQF4 (A full Level I and 260 days practical experience are required)
  • FGASA Level III – NQF6 (A full Level II and 520 days practical experience are required)
  • SKS Dangerous Animals (A full Level III and 1200 encounters with “Big Five” animals are required)
  • SKS Birding
  • Trails Guide – View Potentially Dangerous Game (A full Level I and 20 encounters with “Big Five” animals are required)
  • Rifle Handling assessment (Only a FGASA qualification)
